                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
                  NO. SS-1-94, NORTH SHORE STREETSCAPE AND THE
                  WIDENING OF RIVER STREET, TO RIVERBEND
                  CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION, AT A PRICE NOT TO
                  EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, ONE
                  HUNDRED TWO DOLLARS ($257,102.00), WITHOUT
                  PRIOR APPROVAL.
                 
                 
                                                    
                 
                 
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       award of Contract No. SS-1-94, North Shore Streetscape and the
       widening of River Street, to Riverbend Construction Corporation,
       at a price not to exceed $257,102.00, without prior approval.
